Andy Robbins – Bassist, Vocalist, Songwriter, Producer (Versão em Português) Andy Robbins has contributed bass work on albums, recordings and films and has toured globally for over two decades as a session bassist and producer with many accredited bands and artists including Gene Loves Jezebel, Doogie White (Rainbow, Michael Schenker, Yngwie Malmsteen), CJ Ramone (The Ramones), Joe Lynn Turner (Deep Purple, Rainbow), Holy Soldier, as well performing with various international Pink Floyd Tribute Projects. In addition to being an accomplished and dynamic bass player, Andy has established himself as a multi-award winning recording artist, songwriter and producer... Andy embarked into the music industry at the young age of 16, Andy starting performing throughout the infamous Los Angeles and Hollywood club scene as bassist for the hard rock band Holy Soldier. The band performed numerous engagements at prestigious Hollywood venues such as The Whiskey, The Roxy Theatre and Gazzari´s where one weekend in 1989 the band performed a back Friday night and Saturday night and set an attendance record second only to Van Halen. This local success the band achieved eventually got tem the attention of major record label executives. In 1989, Andy and his band mates signed a recording contract with A&M Billboard Magazine´s CCM charts at the #7 position in March of 1990. The album enjoyed a good level of international success in both retail sales and radio airplay as well having video play on MTV´s Head Banger´s Ball. In 1990 Andy signed endorsement deals a few instrument manufactures including Fender Basses, Ampeg, Dean Markley Strings and Boss Signal Processors. Andy and his band also signed to the ICM booking agency. The band spent the early part if the 90´s writing and producing records and touring various parts of the world - United States, Canada, Asia, Europe, Mexico and Latin America. The band received 4 Doves Awards and continued to spawn top 10 College and CCM Rock radio hits. In 1997 Andy served as executive producer on final Holy Soldier release entitled "Encore" wich was released on Spaceport Records - a boutique label stablished by Andy, wich was distributed globally by Word, Inc. In January 1998 after 13 years of performing together, Holy Soldier disbanded and Andy moved to Brazil where he focused on writing songs, studying voice, music theory and the Portuguese language. Upon returning to the US 1999, he relocated to Phoenix, AZ and started working as a session bassist performing in projects with notable musicians from bands like Tesla, Alice Cooper, Accept. Hurricane, Trixter, and others. In 2008, Andy relocated back to Brazil where he started his production company Andy Robbins Productions producing tours, shows and events throughout Latin America. Andy Robbins Productions offers both the recording and touring music industry his session bass services as well as many other production services globally through a unique production network he has established. Andy produced two extensive Brazilian tours in 2009 and 2010 for vocalist Joe Lynn Turner (Deep Purple, Rainbow) and also played bass on these tours. Turner and his touring band also recorded music together at C4 Estudios in Sao Paulo, as well a 2 live concert productions and video clip for Joe Lynn Turner´s single Blood Red Sky.
